San Cristóbal de Las Casas - Mexico

This is probably the most colorful church I've ever seen and it looks great!! The Cathedral of San Cristóbal Martir is the most representative monument of San Cristóbal de Las Casas, in the mexican state of Chiapas.
The card was sent by Nan.

The construction of the cathedral began in 1528. The original building underwent some changes and was rebuilt in the 17th century. Its facade dating from the 18th century in baroque style, decorated with plant motifs made of mortar.
The interior contains interesting pieces of art such as the pulpit, from the 16th century, the altar of the Kings, two beautiful altarpieces of Solomonic Baroque style and beautiful paintings with religious themes.
