Santiago do Cacém - Portugal

These are the cards i received today, all from Santiago do Cacém, a new city for my collection of the portuguese cities. They were sent by Américo.

Typical streets and a fountain.

Santiago do Cacém castle and a church.

"The city of Santiago do Cacém is dominated by its Moorish castle, rebuilt in 1157 by the Templars, and from its walls a magnificent view of the Serra de Grândola, the mountainous ridge on the northeast, can be seen. They also enclose the cemetery and the 13th-century Mother Church, with a silver shrine said to contain a fragment of the Holy Cross." - in: http://viajar.clix.pt/geo.php?c=192&mc=santcacem&mg=1&lg=es

Rural aspects of Santiago do Cacém.
